Description

Welthungerhilfe (hereafter: WHH) is a German private, non-profitmaking, politically independent and non-denominational relief organization, which supports people living in deprivation and poverty, irrespective of the color of their skin, their religious beliefs or their worldview. WHH is working in the fields of development cooperation and humanitarian aid, relief aid, rehabilitation, and reconstruction.

 

WHH carries out the project IRQ-1032 “Strengthening FNS and resilience of female vulnerable IDPs, returnees and HCs in Ninewa and Salah Al-Din governorates”. The project objective is to provide sustainable support for the livelihood security of women and vulnerable groups and promote their peaceful co-existence.

 

To Support the project staff in term of assessment, registration and distributions, IRQ 1032 project seeks the service of enumerators in Salah Aldin governorate.

 

  1. Preconditions
  • The Enumerators will work under the direct supervision of IRQ-1032 team.
  • WHH shall not be responsible for any injury, death, damage, or loss.

 

  1. Description of Responsibilities of enumerators

The enumerators are expected to carry out the following tasks and generate the below deliverable in accordance with the relevant guidelines provided by the management of WHH and the close collaboration with WHH staff:

  • Participate in half/one-day enumerator training.
  • Reach out to beneficiaries to conduct the assessment and data collection as per the guidelines provided and by using the questionnaire.
  • Report any challenges and issues to the supervisor in a timely manner for follow-up.
  • Support project staff in beneficiary verification and conducting distributions.
  • Take responsibility for project equipment that may be entrusted with.
  • Enumerator may be asked to carry out other duties requested by the supervisor.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

  • High school Diploma or Bachelor’s degree or relevant educational background.
  • Previous experience with an NGO and/or institution in relevant field of work is an advantage.
  • Experience with different data collection tools and apps.
  • Good organizational, time-management, work independently and teamwork skills.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English preferable.
  • Open minded, and ability to work in multi-cultural environment.
  • Committed, honest, friendly, and eager to learn.
