Description
Welthungerhilfe (hereafter: WHH) is a German private, non-profit- making, politically independent and non-denominational relief organization, which supports people living in deprivation and poverty, irrespective of the color of their skin, their religious beliefs, or their worldview. WHH is working in the fields of development cooperation and humanitarian aid, relief aid, rehabilitation, and reconstruction.
WHH implements the project- IRQ-1091 “ARILA VET Skills Development Intervention.”, in the framework of the wider Welthungerhilfe programme funded by GIZ.
Anbar’s livelihood opportunities in the non-agricultural sector are strengthened and improved in Ramadi, Heet, and Fallujah.
The grantee agreement will help support ongoing capacity development measures and training activities related to VET skills development in Anbar. This will be accomplished through a close partnership with the Directorate of Labour and Vocational Training and the Directorate of Youth and Sports to ensure ongoing operational support for all training activities. Additionally, measures and activities related to; PR, career coaching, job matching.
- Description of Responsibilities of enumerators
The enumerators are expected to carry out the following tasks and generate the below deliverable in accordance with the relevant guidelines provided by the management of WHH and the close collaboration with WHH staff coordinators in each governance.
- Participate in one-day enumerator training.
- Conduct gender sensitive market assessments, verification and selection of participants, distribution, registrations, and data entry in the assigned locations within governorates of Anbar Ramadi, Faluja and Heet) The locations may be changed within each district based on the assessment needs and tasks allocated.
- Conduct pre-post assessment, support the livelihoods activities, vocational training and job matching activities based on the area the Enumerator locate.
- Report daily issues and challenges to the project officers, coordinators, and MEAL Teams.
- Turn over all literature and materials used in the survey to the supervisor.
- Follow established protocols and guidelines for data collection and management and identify and report any issues or concerns related to data collection.
- Any other related assessments / distribution/ survey.
- Follow confidentiality and security procedures to ensure respondent privacy is protected.
- Report to the supervisor before and after day’s work for further direction.
- Enumerator may be asked to carry out other duties requested by the supervisor or MEAL Teams.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
- Qualifications required:
- High school Diploma or bachelor’s degree or relevant educational background.
- Previous experience with an NGO and/or institution in relevant field of work is an advantage.
- Fluency in Arabic, good in English.
- Working knowledge in Microsoft Excel, MS, KOBO, (individual interview, household survey, FGD or other as assigned by supervisor) in person or remotely.
- Open minded, and ability to work in multi-cultural environment.
- Committed, honest, friendly, and eager to learn.
- Should be from same residence areas of intervention governance mentioned above.
- Payments
Payment will be disbursed in Iraqi Dinars (IQD) at the rate of 50,000 IQD for each full working day. Payment will be made upon submission of an invoice along with a completed attendance sheet at the end of each month. Additionally, a monthly transportation allowance of 10,000 IQD per working day is included in the payment, but this cost will be waived if WHH provides transportation services.
