About Aid Gate Organization “AGO”
Aid Gate Organization (AGO) is an independent national NGO in Iraq, committed to supporting Internally Displaced Persons, returnees, and vulnerable communities across all Iraqi cities and governorates. With operations in key regions such as Kirkuk, Salah al-Din, Anbar, Nineveh, Diyala, and Basra, AGO focuses on rebuilding lives and promoting inclusivity for all, including minorities and persons with disabilities.
- Objective
The primary objective of the enumerators is to collect accurate and reliable data through structured surveys and interviews with households and individuals across Erbil, Duhok, and Mosul. The collected data will support evidence-based decision-making and guide AGO’s project interventions.
- Key Responsibilities
- Data Collection
Conduct household and individual interviews using structured survey tools (digital or paper-based). Ensure respondents clearly understand the questions and provide accurate information.
- Survey Administration
Administer surveys in an ethical and culturally appropriate manner, respecting local social norms and community sensitivities.
- Data Accuracy & Quality Control
Ensure all collected data is accurate, complete, and aligned with project guidelines. Report any inconsistencies or challenges encountered in the field.
- Ethical Conduct
Maintain high ethical standards, ensuring the confidentiality and privacy of respondents. Always obtain informed consent before initiating interviews.
- Data Entry
Enter data accurately into AGO’s designated digital platforms or forms. This may include real-time data entry or completing forms for later submission.
- Collaboration & Coordination
Work closely with the Field Coordinator and the rest of the team to ensure smooth operations, timely communication, and coordinated fieldwork.
- Daily Reporting
- Submit daily progress updates to the Field Coordinator, including challenges, observations, and completed workloads.
Location:
6 enumerators in each location: Erbil, Duhok, and Mosul.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
Required Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- A degree in social sciences, statistics, or related fields is an advantage.
Experience
Prior experience in data collection, surveys, or enumerator roles with NGOs or development projects is an asset.
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic proficiency in digital data-collection tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Language Requirements
Erbil & Duhok: Fluency in Kurdish (Sorani) is required.
Mosul: Fluency in Arabic is required.
Knowledge of both languages is considered an asset for all locations
