We are at the forefront of delivering BNG, nature-recovery and natural capital projects –
and are expanding this side of our business.
This is an exciting chance to make a positive difference to the environment, landscapes and the
rural economy while working at the cutting edge of this fast-moving sector.
For many years, we have been supporting clients integrate environmental schemes into thriving
rural businesses – and part of this role will be advising them on how to build new natural
capital revenues into their businesses, along with identifying the existing environmental
benefits they are delivering.
Our dynamic team is involved in some of the most exciting landscape-scale initiatives in the
country (the iconic Iford Biodiversity Project, is just one
example).
We’re looking for someone who combines a genuine enthusiasm for the environment and natural
habitats with a pragmatic, commercial mindset.
Our team has built up sector leading expertise in landscape scale conservation management. CLM
is committed to sharing this knowledge and helping you to develop your own specialisms and
interests.
About you
The ideal candidate will
- Be a graduate or postgraduate with the right attitude and skillset
- Work towards membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental
Management (CIEEM) - Be able to work collaboratively with a range of clients and stakeholders
- Have some practical experience of conservation land management or agriculture
- Own a car and have a full driving licence
The role would suit someone who has studied, gained experience or has knowledge in some of the
following:
- Environmental and Natural Science
- Conservation and Ecology
- Agriculture and Land Management
- Wildlife and Habitat surveying
- GIS & Remote Sensing
How we’ll work together
You’ll be assisting an established team of environmental land managers and advisors.
The team will help you get to grips with the some of the latest mechanisms for nature recovery
and delivery of the Lawton Principles. There is an excellent opportunity to learn, grow and
flourish in the team. CLM is committed to continuing training and professional development and
expects that you will take part in appropriate external training and CPD.

people, working partly from our lovely barn-conversion offices in Sussex and partly from home.
