Environment Engineer (National)

The Kiteezi Dumpsite is rehabilitated and stabilized using the Fukuoka Method, significantly reducing environmental and public health risks associated with uncontrolled waste collapse, methane emissions, and leachate contamination. Environmentally sound engineering solutions are implemented to ensure structural integrity, safe leachate and gas management, and compliance with national regulations. Additionally, local capacity is strengthened through technical training and knowledge transfer, enabling Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) to sustainably operate, maintain, and monitor the site beyond the project’s duration.
