The assignment is for an Individual Contractor at the UN P3 equivalent level.
Qualification and work experience required (degree required, years of work experience, field of expertise, language required):
• 6 years of relevant experience with BA degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, civil engineering or related field, 5 with MA/MSc or 4 with PhD in waste technologies, environmental law and policy and other relevant expertise in the subject
• Strong experience with environmental and waste management research assessments (minimum 5 years)
• Ability to develop tools to perform data analysis, mapping and monitoring
• Strong commitment to environmental preservation, circular economy, sustainable development and community-led environmental action
• Adherence to high ethical and professional standards
• Proficiency in data collection and survey software systems, particularly on Kobo Toolbox and Microsoft Office tools
• Proficiency in articulating study results through written reports and oral presentations to diverse audiences
• Proficiency in English, with strong skills in written communication, oral presentation and comprehension
• French highly desirable
