Job Description:
The Environmental Planner I or II role involves providing essential support for environmental planning and permitting efforts related to electric transmission line construction across the western United States. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of success in working on environmental plans and permits, conducting spatial analysis and mapping, and coordinating with federal, state, and local agencies. Familiarity with the electric utility industry’s construction practices is preferred.
As the Environmental Planner, you will be responsible for various tasks including obtaining utility crossing permits, drafting environmental compliance plans, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) mapping, conducting land use or natural resource assessments, preparing NEPA documents, field data collection and due diligence activities, capturing pre- or post-construction aerial footage using drones, and collaborating with project managers to complete and implement a range of project-related activities.
