This position is in the Office of Air and Radiation, Office of Atmospheric Protection, Clean Air and Power Division (CAPD), Data and Technology Branch (DTB) in Washington, DC. The Division designs and implements programs to reduce emissions from the electricity sector (i.e., power plants). The Branch is a collaborative and innovative team dedicated to advancing environmental policies that protect human health and the environment. Duties

The key responsibilities of the position include: 

Data analysis & visualization: Utilize your curiosity, creativity, and analytical skills to examine environmental data and create compelling visualizations to tell the story about the power sector and its environmental impacts. 

Project management: Apply your communication and organizational skills to support Division IT initiatives, both large and small, that are used to implement regulatory programs and communicate the results to the public. One example of this work is the eGRID Power Profiler tool (https://www.epa.gov/egrid/power-profiler#). 

Collaboration & communication: Work closely with team members to brainstorm solutions, share insights, and ensure that projects align with our mission and goals.

Salary starts at GS-7 ($55,924) or GS-9 ($68,405), depending on qualifications, with promotion potential to GS-12, step 10 ($128,956).
