ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAM MANAGER III

An employee in this class performs high level work in the management of the Industrial Wastewater Pretreatment and Fats, Oils, and Grease programs, the County Environmental Laboratory, Superfund Site Compliance and other environmental programs designed to preserve and enhance the water quality, air quality, open space, wildlife habitat and overall sustainability of the County. Assignments are broad in scope and considerable independent judgement is required.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Three years of experience interpreting environmental rules, regulations, standards and policies; extensive knowledge of the Federal Industrial Pretreatment Program, CERCLA, SPCC, laboratory operations, and wastewater quality programs; knowledge of water quality, air quality, groundwater monitoring and remediation, sustainability, and other environmental protection management practices.
