Overview

RES is seeking a Project Manager III with 10+ years of experience in Brentwood, TN, Athens, GA or Forsyth, GA. 

The Mission: To lead a team of professionals delivering large and complex projects including stream and wetland compensatory mitigation banks and Permittee Responsible Mitigation (PRM) in Georgia and Tennessee. 

What your day-to-day might look like?

You will be working with all parties involved in mitigation banking and environmental restoration projects including scientists, engineers, regulators, lawyers, real estate professionals, financial analysts, accountants, and other program managers.  You will use excellent communication and leadership skills, a strong knowledge of budgets and accounting, a team-based mentality, and the ability to navigate through complex projects with internal stakeholders and external clients.  You will use project management skills to identify, track, and mitigate risks.  Field work to evaluate sites based on regulatory and technical constraints will be part of some days.  Other days may involve GIS or CAD work for desktop analysis. 

In addition to serving as technical and regulatory lead for projects, you will supervise and mentor junior professionals as they grow and develop.  You will have the opportunity to participate in conferences, trade groups, and other external leadership roles to market RES and advance environmental restoration.  You will also develop and maintain RES’s relationship with clients to build a healthy backlog of work. 

Qualifications

We would love to talk to you if you have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in applied sciences, engineering, or similar field
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in an applied-sciences, engineering, or construction field with 7+ years of Project Management Experience
  • Experience using project management and scheduling software
  • Demonstrated existing relationships with public agencies and regulators, private developers, consulting and engineering firms, non-profits and academia to further RES’ reputation and business interests
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, scheduling, and executing the full range of project tasks on schedule and on budget for a variety of complex projects, leading the project from conception to completion
  • Demonstrated experience in estimating and evaluating bids from subcontractors and managing subcontractors
  • Experience with forecasting and delivery of financial reports

What will make you stand out?

  • Experience as team lead of applied-sciences, engineering, or construction department.
  • Advanced Degree or additional qualifications such as certifications (PMP)
  • Deep familiarity with mitigation banking and SQT Methodology
  • Experience with science, design and/or construction of wetlands; Professional Wetlands Scientist (PWS)
