About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity to join our Environment and Sustainability team to develop and deliver Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD) projects and programs for Council and its communities with a focus on the built environment.
This position will also play a lead role in the implementation of Council’s Climate Emergency Action Plan and sustainability objectives and facilitate corporate initiatives that contribute to meeting Council’s net zero emissions targets. You will also work with our communities to support community adaptation and mitigation of climate change.
This role is a permanent full-time opportunity. Remuneration begins at $85.9K to $93.4K (Band 6) plus superannuation and includes the option for a monthly ADO.
About You
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated understanding and experience in developing and delivering ESD projects and programs and an ability to assess project proposals and building designs for ESD considerations. You will be a great communicator with proven ability to work across different works teams and with the community on a range of projects.
