Project Manager will be overall responsible to manage, coordinate and implement the project components and supervise their team in the execution of UNICEF supported project on Technical Support for Jal Jeevan Mission and ODF Plus under WASH Support in Bokaro/Giridih district of Jharkhand and have ultimate accountability for the program success.

Technical Expert JJM (District Coordinator)

Remuneration / Salary CTC: Rs. 40,000/- to 45,000/-pm (depending on the competency of the candidates’)

Job responsibilities:

Coordinate with the district and support in the implementation of the WASH program under Jal Jivan Mission (JJM) and ODF “S” and organize training programs for the functionaries and ensure planning & implementation of the related activities. She/ He has to support and collaborate with Government in the district on the issues of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene.

Support in monitoring the progress of project objectives and deliverables for the geographic area of responsibility, Undertake community process and assess implementation status. Liaison and coordinate closely with government and UNICEF officials.

Qualification & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Rural Management, Rural Development, or working expertise in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene will be preferred.
• Must have experience and expertise working in rural communities and have a good understanding of community processes.
• Should have an adequate understanding of JJM and its scenario in the state.
• Must have expertise and experience on WASH issues and basic knowledge about groundwater systems.
• Good communication and documentation ability in English and Hindi and ability to develop a slandered report of the work.
• Ability to work independently with minimal daily supervision. Ability to use project data about implementation status in order to prioritize activities.
• Proven personnel management skills, including management of team and counterparts.
• Computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the Internet.
• Must have the skill to drive a two-wheeler and have a valid license.
