Shareteah Humanitarian Organization (SHO) is an Iraqi National NGO promoting safety & development through mine action and explosive ordnance risk education (EORE)awareness, and clearance of mines, explosives and remnants of war.to assistance for people affected by armed conflict. Founded in 2016, SHO has organized & executed programs throughout Iraq. including the provinces of Nineveh, Duhok, Kirkuk, Tikrit, Anbar, and Baghdad. It currently holds offices in Duhok and Mosul.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

EORE-NTS Officer will be responsible for everyday awareness of landmines Explosive Remnants of War (ERW) and Improvised Explosive Device (IED) resulting in reduced risk behavior within the mine and ERW affected communities. NTS-Community Liaison Officer will be responsible on conducting NTS tasks according to SHO SOPs and international procedures, under the EORE-NTS Team Leader supervision.

The SHO CLO is responsible for the following:

  • Day-to-day conduct assigned tasks assigned by the EORE-NTS Team Leader/ Manager.
  • Follow the technical guidelines as laid down in SHO SOP’s.
  • Ensure the necessary tasks of the NTS-RE team are carried out in the field;
  • Submit day to day reports directly to the EORE-NTS Manager;
  • Undertake necessary preparations for RE sessions incl. liaising with community leaders, authorities, etc.;
  • Conduct Risk Education in targeted communities following the operational plan;
  • Function as an interviewer during assessments in targeted communities;
  • Function as a data collector in targeted communities;
  • Train key people in the communities to become RE trainers;
  • Function as a community liaison between stakeholders/actors;
  • Conduct NTS T.O in the targeted area, and fill the IMSM forms reports.
  • Insure implementing tasks and activity’s, in line with SHO’s strategic plan.
  • Any other business as required by SHO.
