Anticipated Project employment is April 2026 – October 2027
Work Hours flexibility may be available and considered
Salary: $3,643.00 – $4,410.00 Monthly

Responsibilities:

  • Operates light equipment to perform daily maintenance of existing trail systems and facilities, and occasionally constructs new recreation trails and facilities.
  • Operates power and hand tools to perform daily maintenance of existing trail systems and facilities.  
  • Performs basic daily maintenance on equipment and tools used for trail work.
  • Performs labor and technical support activities for grant and capital project implementation.
  • Conducting regularly scheduled safety assessments on trails and facilities while performing routine maintenance.

Required Qualifications: 

  • 1 (one) year of light equipment operating experience, such as mini excavators, front loaders, or tractors.
  • Must be able to perform basic maintenance on power equipment.
  • Previous experience using small power equipment and hand tools.

Special Requirements and Conditions of Employment:

  • Successful Completion of the DNR Trailer Towing Safety Training as available.
  • Successful Completion of the DNR ATV Safety Training as available.
  • Successful Completion of the DNR Chainsaw User Basic Training (OR equivalent) as available.
