The Alannah & Madeline Foundation is a national not-for-profit organisation dedicated to keeping children and young people free from violence and trauma wherever they live, learn and play. Through Care, Prevention and Advocacy programs, we fight for their right to be safe, so their future is strong.
We also support Dolly’s Dream to help change the culture of bullying by addressing the impact of bullying, anxiety, depression and youth suicide, through education and direct support to young people and families.

The role is formally based in South Melbourne. We support our staff to work flexibly, both in location and hours, based on the premise that work will remain the focus of any arrangement. Regular travel (including metro and regional) is required to provide in person support to schools through training, presentations as well as ongoing guidance via phone or virtual meetings.
The role:
Reporting into eSmart Schools Team Leader, the eSmart Advisor provides tailored support to schools, working with them to set, achieve and maintain their commitment to online safety, and create a culture that promotes the positive use of digital technology. eSmart is underpinned by the eSafety Commissioner’s Best Practice Framework for Online Safety Education, an evidence-based best practice framework for a nationally consistent approach to online safety education in schools.
You would be responsible for:
- Working with Victorian schools to support the introduction of the eSmart program collection, based on identified needs
- Communicating with schools to promote the programs
- Delivering virtual and face-to-face workshops and training sessions to school staff, students and families
- Developing effective stakeholder relationships through collaboration, including but not limited to stakeholders within the educational sector.
- Contributing to the implementation of, and identifying improvements for, the eSmart program.
Experience required:
- Experience delivering social change projects, frameworks or initiatives in the education sector.
- Exceptional presentation, communication, and training skills.
- Willingness to regularly travel intrastate and use your own vehicle.
- Knowledge of online safety and digital inclusion issues, and the impact to children & young people.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to analyse data and build reports.
