The Estates and Facilities (E&F) Department at the University of Nottingham provides strategic and operational services support to the University infrastructure, buildings, and landholdings. We are a large and diverse department employing approximately 1300 people and provide a wide range of services across our 4 UK campuses.

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to manage the physical aspects of the University’s estate-wide installation of its upgraded campus IT network.  

Working as part of a multi-partner, multi-disciplinary team; to replace and enhance the legacy campus IT network infrastructure, across ca 300 buildings, to deliver improvements in digital capability which improve student and staff experience and provide the infrastructure to support research excellence.

We are seeking a proven project manager, with a history of delivering projects on time, cost, and standard. An excellent communicator, both verbally and written, with high professional standards and able to represent E&F at multi-disciplinary meetings. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management, coordination, tracking and reporting of the physical elements of the project; providing the link between IT partners and the technical Estates staff who will ensure the work remains in compliance with construction-related health and safety regulations.

Candidates should be qualified to degree level or have the equivalent level of experience gained in the work environment. Experience of working with IT infrastructure, building construction or surveying projects will be an advantage for the role.

This post will be offered on a fixed term contract until 31 March 2026. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours per week) and worked 5 days out of 7, usually Monday to Friday. Applications for job share will be accepted.
