Position Overview

The University Services portfolio is responsible for leading Estates Management across the University.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Project and Space Planner to join our Transformation Team (as part of the Estates portfolio) on the University’s Manawatū campus in Palmerston North. This role is focused on planning to optimise the University’s spatial footprint. It includes working with key stakeholders to understand their business needs and support them to improve and optimise the utilisation of space.
This role plays an important part in a team dedicated to delivering activity related to our accelerated transformation initiatives.
You will have exceptional planning, organization and communication skills, with the ability to coach and influence internal and external stakeholders and build constructive working relationships will be fundamental to this role, and will also bring with you:
• Substantial experience in project and space planning.
• A proven track record that demonstrates your ability to engage and negotiate with key stakeholders.
• Strong business analytical skills
• Demonstrated ability to author professional documents including business cases and design briefs.
• The ability to maintain focus on critical work standards and high expectations.
• Formal professional qualification or significant relevant experience.
