Join Our Team:EHV Cabling andamp; Substation Civils Estimator.Are you a detail-oriented professional with a deep understanding of civil engineering and the construction industry?Our client is seeking a skilled EHV Cabling andamp; Substation Civils Estimator to manage their enquiries and ITTs from start to finish, ensuring timely and accurate tender submissions.Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of Enquiries and ITTs: Handle the entire process from receipt to submission, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Tender Review and Assessment: Carefully evaluate all tender information received.
  • Site Visits and Meetings: Attend pre-tender meetings and site visits as necessary.
  • Tender Programme Preparation: Develop detailed tender programmes and submission documents.
  • Operational Liaison: Work closely with operations teams to understand project delivery methods and outputs.
  • Cost Compilation: Prepare detailed job costs from first principles, including internal labour and management costs.
  • Sub-Contractor Engagement: Collaborate with specialist sub-contractors and suppliers, ensuring multiple quotes for materials, equipment, and sub-contractors.
  • Departmental Collaboration: Liaise with various departments to compile comprehensive submissions.
  • Tender Queries Management: Handle all tender queries and clarifications efficiently.
  • Final Pricing and Commercial Review: Compile final pricing in the required format and conduct a thorough commercial review with senior management prior to submission.
  • Bid Document Submission: Compile and submit all necessary bid documents accurately and on time.
  • Client Meetings: Organise and attend post-tender meetings with clients as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to reviewing engineering specifications, work scopes, and drawings.
  • Mathematical and IT Proficiency: High-level skills in maths and IT.
  • Communication and Presentation: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work closely with the bid team and other disciplines.
  • Flexibility: Ability to handle fluctuating workloads and meet client deadlines.
  • Industry Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of civil engineering and the construction industry, specifically EHV-related civils work, including groundworks, reinforced concrete, substation civils, trenching, ducting, and cable installation within cross-country and carriageway environments.
