Location: Hybrid- Southampton, Leeds, Walsall, UK (Office-based with flexible working)

To support growth, they are looking for an experienced Estimator with a focus on pre-construction to join our team.

Position Overview:
As an Estimator, you will play a vital role in the commercial and pre-construction teams. You will be responsible for estimating and overseeing tenders and bids for a wide range of refurbishment, redecoration, extension, and maintenance projects. This role offers a blend of office-based and site work, and after the probation period, it provides flexibility to work from home a few days a week.

Key Responsibilities:
Estimation: Accurately prepare cost estimates for various projects, considering all relevant factors, including materials, labor, and subcontractor costs.

Tender and Bid Management: Oversee the tendering process, ensuring timely and competitive submissions to secure projects.

Client Liaison: Collaborate with clients, understanding their requirements, and providing expert advice and solutions.

Team Support: Assist the commercial and pre-construction teams by providing detailed cost estimates and pre-construction support as needed.

Site Visits: Conduct site visits as required to assess project requirements and conditions.

Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry competitors, trends, and pricing to maintain our competitive edge.

Project Diversity: Work on projects in various sectors, including commercial and retail, education, healthcare, hotel and leisure, housing, and utilities & industrial.

Focus on Refurbishment: Concentrate on refurbishment, redecoration, extension, and maintenance projects.

Requirements:
Proven experience as an Estimator with a strong focus on pre-construction activities.
Knowledge of construction cost estimation, pricing, and tendering processes.
Excellent client communication and relationship-building skills.
Familiarity with competitors in the national refurbishment sector.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
