Job Title: EstimatorLocation: LeedsThorn Baker has teamed up with a leading civil engineering contractor. From sustainable remediation techniques to bulk earthworks and infrastructure projects, they work on construction contracts ranging from £100,000 to £20 million and are looking for an Estimator to support them with their growth in demand.What’s in it for you:

Your Responsibilities:

• Working under the direction, guidance, and supervision of the Pre-Contracts Manager (PCM)
• Role requires assisting with quantity take-off for tender preparations
• Undertake site visits to assist with tender preparations
• Issue enquiries through tender stage for materials and sub-contracts
• Complete tenders for small/medium projects under guidance of PCM
• Producing material schedules and sub-contractor BoQs for Operations Teams from successful tenders

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an estimator in the civil engineering sector or construction industry.
• Competent in use of MS Excel and MS Word
• Have a working experience of electronic take-off from pdf drawings
• High attention to detail and accuracy in preparing estimates and documentation.
