Job Views 7DescriptionPosition – EstimatorIndustry – Building Services/Construction/HVACSalary/Package – £55,000 – £65,000, Company Vehicle or Allowance, Mobile/Technology provided, 24 days holiday + Banks, Death in Service, & More.Purpose of the RoleAn Estimator, working closely with the Bid Management division & Contract Managers developing accurate cost models, tender responses, and commercial insight to support Projects, refurbishments, and construction work primarily within the healthcare facilities sectors.Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for tendered projects, contract minor/major, and capital works.
• Review tender documents, technical specifications, and scope of work to understand client requirements and identify key cost drivers.
• Source and negotiate pricing with suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers to obtain competitive quotations.
• Develop cost breakdowns, pricing schedules, and risk assessments using appropriate tools and software.
• Assist the business development and BID team in responding to RFPs, RFQs, and ITTs with compliant and commercially sound pricing.
• Conduct site visits, surveys, and evaluations to support accurate estimating when required.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and offer alternative solutions that meet performance and compliance requirements.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, project managers, and engineers.
• Support the handover of successful bids to the operations team and assist with any cost variations or change orders during project delivery.

You must have or hold

• 3 years of experience with cost estimating within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of hard FM services, building systems, and maintenance practices.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Experience working with financial budgets and have excellent analytical skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Pass an enhanced DBS Check
