ROLE: Estimator – Steel BridgesSALARY: £40,000 – £50,000 + 27 days holiday + BHLOCATION: Completely Working from home opportunityAbout the Role:We are seeking a skilled Estimator with specific experience in steel Bridges to join our clients team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing accurate estimations within agreed time frames and in line with contractual arrangements. The ideal candidate will actively manage incoming enquiries and contribute to the overall success of our projects.Key Responsibilities:– Produce accurate cost estimates within the agreed time frame.
– Work in line with contractual arrangements.
– Fully manage and respond to all incoming enquiries.
– Prepare precise cost estimates for indirect resources required to execute works according to the programme.
– Interpret architects’ and consultants’ drawings to assess the scope of work.
– Determine structural steel and architectural metal work requirements for each project, managing customer expectations.
– Generate comprehensive estimates and quotations, and respond to tenders with detailed project pricing.
– Obtain quotations for subcontracted work.
– Handle all pricing changes and variations prior to contract award.
– Monitor variations to original pricing in collaboration with contracts and production managers.
– Liaise with clients, directors, contracts managers, and project managers during weekly meetings.
– Prepare material take-offs and perform quantity surveying duties for awarded projects.Requirements:– Proven estimating experience.
– Background in structural steel or similar industry stairs, bridges, gantries, steel structures
– Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure.
