The EU Partnership Specialist will contribute to the optimal functioning of World Vision’s EU Representation (EUREP) and to the achievement of its strategic objectives in: strengthening engagement with the EU, deepening institutional funding, nurturing relationships with strategic EU actors and partners and enhancing World Vision’s visibility as a credible EU partner for the well-being of children.

Main Responsibilities

Contribute to the shaping of the of World Vision’s Strategy around EU cooperation action, aiming at World Vision (WV) becoming EU’s partner of choice, including:

• Analyse EU funding trends, aid modalities, and programming priorities;
• Support internal processes for change, facilitate WV’s inputs into EU programming consultations.

Proactively engage with EU institutions and partners to support resource development:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key EU stakeholders (notably DG INTPA, MENA, ENEST, FPI), gathering and sharing strategic intelligence to enhance WV’s visibility and credibility;
• Coordinate engagement visits, briefings and interactions related to EU actions;
• Follow key thematic areas through knowledge gathering, participation in events, and contributions to advocacy and strategy;
• Represent WV in relevant coalitions and networks (e.g., CONCORD, EPLO) and cultivate a strong formal and informal peer network.

Enhance WV’s internal readiness and positioning as a key EU partner:

• Support the development of a strategic pipeline of EU and Enabel opportunities and advise on new business prospects;
• Strengthen WV offices’ capacity to engage effectively with EU services (INTPA, MENA, ENEST, FPI) to boost visibility, credibility and access to sustainable funding;
• Monitor and analyse EU instruments, funding criteria and regulations, and coordinate internal processes accordingly.

Lead knowledge management and capacity-building on EU donorship:

• Promote collaboration and knowledge-sharing on EU matters across WV offices;
• Actively contribute to the development and maintenance of knowledge-management and capacity-building tools and platforms;
• Develop and update guidance, training materials and briefings on EU donorship;
• Organise and deliver targeted training sessions and learning activities;
• Monitor changes in EU rules and centralise relevant information, in close coordination with EUREP colleagues.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong knowledge of EU development aid and institutions;
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in development programmes, EU grant acquisition/management, or related fields;
• Excellent coordination, relationship-building and representational skills;
• Experience in training or capacity-building;
• Budget/financial skills and MEAL experience are an asset;
• Master’s degree in a relevant field;
• Excellent command of English written and spoken; French and/or Spanish an asset;
• Ability to travel occasionally;
