hub.brussels needs your talents!

Welcome home

There is no need to stress the fact that hub.brussels champions diversity in all its forms and does not practise any form of discrimination (gender, disability, etc.) that could lead to applications being treated differently.

Your team

By accepting the position of European Advisor, at the rank of Attaché, you will join the I2 unit (Internationalisation & Innovation – European Programmes) within the IDD department (International Development Department).

I2 has two main missions:

  • NCP Brussels, the National Contact Point in the Brussels-Capital Region (BCR) for the Horizon Europe and Digital Europe programmes, aims to increase Brussels’ participation in the Horizon Europe and Digital Europe programmes;
  • EEB – Enterprise Europe Brussels, the Brussels-Capital Region branch of the Enterprise Europe Network, aims to provide information, guidance and support to companies in their international development, through technological partnerships, sustainability, innovation and digitalisation.

The I2 team is made up of 10 advisors. It is supported by two assistants and managed by two Heads: one coordinating the NCP Brussels mission and the other the EEB mission.

Your missions

EEB Advisor

You will provide SMEs and all types of economic and academic stakeholders in the Brussels-Capital Region with information on the international development opportunities arising from the Enterprise Europe Network (e.g. advice, international partnerships, innovation, digitalisation, sustainability)

You will proactively prospect and develop your portfolio of customers (prioritising SMEs) in the sector allocated to you (e.g. health, e-health). You will have an understanding of their international development strategy and based on this, you will encourage them to make use of the relevant EEB services, for which you will have mastered the specific tools.

You will help them to prepare and take part in matchmaking events organised by the network, and support them in the post-participation follow-up, until the cooperation agreements with their new clients/partners are signed. Where applicable, you will also advise them on optimising their innovation and sustainable transition processes in partnership with your EEB advisor colleagues.

In this way, you will contribute to achieving the objectives and results expected of the Enterprise Europe Brussels mission.

In addition, you will participate in EEB’s information and communication activities (e.g. website, articles, social media) and in organising seminars, conferences and other I² unit events, working with colleagues in the team and from other units (logistics, IT, communication).

Horizon Europe NCP

You will provide SMEs and all types of economic and academic stakeholders in the Brussels-Capital Region with information on the opportunities offered by the Horizon Europe programmes to which you are officially appointed, “NCP Health, incl. related partnerships” and “NCP EU Missions”, in particular to cover the “Cancer” mission. You will develop a portfolio of customers in your areas of expertise. You will encourage them to participate in these programmes, helping them to submit high-quality proposals in response to calls for projects launched throughout the programme cycle. You will guide and support them in setting up, developing, implementing and promoting the results of their project. You will work closely with your EEN advisor colleagues, in particular on aspects related to finding partners and promoting results. In this way, you will contribute to achieving the objectives and results expected of the NCP Brussels mission.

In addition, you will participate in NCP Brussels’ information and communication activities (website, articles, newsletters, etc.) and in organising seminars, conferences and other I² unit events, in partnership with colleagues in the team and from other units (logistics, IT, communication).

Management of European projects

You will manage hub.brussels’ participation in the NCP health network, HNN3.0. This network is a seven-year CSA (Coordination and Support Action) developed by and for the NCP Health in the EU and associated countries, with the support of the European Commission (Horizon Europe). You will contribute to the implementation and monitoring (technical and financial monitoring) of this programme, deadlines, quality, risk and change management, as well as the technical and financial, interim and final reports. In addition, you will benefit from training and mentoring opportunities developed within the programme. You will develop a relationship of trust with the project coordinators and partners of this project. You will follow-up the evolution of the European Commission’s programming in this area and help ensure hub.brussels’ renewed participation in this network project for NCP Health beyond 2029.

Centre of expertise

You represent the interests of hub.brussels, the Brussels Region or Belgium in the governance bodies in which NCPs participate at Belgian and European level and you contribute to building Belgium’s positions in Horizon Europe’s Health programme committee, in collaboration with Innoviris, Belgian NCPs and representatives of other federated entities.
