The Event Technology Logistics Specialist provides event technology support for non-academic programs and events at Georgia College. The employee serves as the point of contact for faculty, staff, students, and community members when event technology equipment is requested for non-academic rooms and locations on campus. This staff member ensures proper equipment is maintained in working order, is properly inventoried and accounted for, and is available for immediate use. Since academic classrooms are supported by Informational Technology, this position works closely with Information Technology staff to ensure event technology coverage on campus is complete. The employee provides back up and support to and receives similar support from the current Director of Production Services. This position has expanded to help carryout annual contracts and maintain relationships with the campus and community.

Provides additional technical support in Performance Venues – 25
Ability to succeed with a multi department environment along with the ability to manage multiple projects.
A working knowledge of event technology equipment, to include but not limited to: overhead projection, sound systems, video recording, laptop computers, sound boards, lighting boards, televisions, dvds, recorders, and other equipment essential to ensuring event technology services are covered on campus;
Ability to analyze and evaluate the need for event technology equipment for various events; plan, develop, schedule, and provide support for such events.
Provides support, advice, and recommendations on projects. – 5
Serves as a source of knowledge for others on campus who may require event technology services on campus for events that GCSU is not capable of supporting in-house; provides guidance to Physical Plant and others as event technology equipment is purchased and/or installed in areas across campus.

Educational Requirements
Bachelors degree with at least three years of experience.

ABILITIES
Manage design projects on your own.
Work with a team to carryout production design/support.
KNOWLEDGE
Must be proficient in Vectorworks or CAD software, familiar with the Adobe Suite or comparable, QLab experience, Wireless Workbench or other wireless frequency utilities programming. Understanding signal flow with digital and analog audio visual devices and technologies.
Working knowledge of theatrical elements and utilities use in most event spaces. Understand basic computer functions and operations.
SKILLS
Manlift/Genie operation, sound reinforcement with digital and analog audio consoles, lighting design and programming with ETC family consoles.
