• Salary package: From $104,726 to $113,545 (HEW Level 7) per annum plus 17% superannuation and annual leave loading
• Appointment Type: Full time, Continuing
• Location: Wallumattagal campus, North Ryde


An exciting opportunity to join our Events and Domestic Protocol team within Group Marketing in the Events Partner position to support the development and implementation of strategic events plans for Faculties and Offices across the University.

This role works in a dynamic and high performing team environment and collaborates with colleagues across the University to ensure the high-quality delivery of events for the University.  Working on a variety of events across the designing, planning and implementation stages, this is a role where no two days will be the same.


You will have proven experience in delivering end-to-end event management with a strong emphasis on senior stakeholder engagement and relationship management.  You will be comfortable working with a broad range of employees in a large and complex organization, and being responsive, adaptable, and collaborative. You will have high attention to detail and focus on constant improvement.

You are self-motivated, able to work autonomously and part of a team to achieve set goals. Your enthusiasm for new ideas and innovations in event planning and delivery will enable your success in this role.

  • Qualification in event management or related discipline and/or equivalent experience working in end-to-end event management, including design, planning and delivery;
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in an events management role with a diverse industry background;
  • Developing client briefs, speeches and event concepts that meet client needs;
  • Managing and resolving challenging client queries and complaints;
  • Analysing and reporting on data to inform and improve future events;
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with demonstrated success in building and managing senior relationships and partnerships;
  • Proven ability to assess and manage health and safety, and reputational risks.
