Under the supervision and guidance of the Deputy Representative Operations, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for executing a broad variety of routine tasks and some specialized for the respective office, requiring thorough knowledge of UNICEF administrative procedures, processes and policies.
Key functions, accountabilities and related duties/tasks:
- Budget Monitoring
- Office Planning
- Procurement
- Communications & Workflow
- Calendar/Meetings/Correspondence Management
- Events/Logistics
- Travel
- Invoice Processing
- Supplies/Equipment
- Attendance
To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have:
- Completion of secondary education is required, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses related to the field of work
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant administrative or clerical work experience is required.
- The work experience requirements could be replaced by academic degrees as follows: a bachelor’s degree from a recognized academic institution in a field relevant to the position: three years.
- Fluency in French is required. Knowledge of English (working level is also required. Knowledge of another official UN language or a local language is an asset.
