Under the direction of the Chief of Staff and Director of Corporate Affairs, as the Executive Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of the President’s Office. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the President’s agenda, coordinating travel, communicating with key internal and external contacts with whom the President meets, anticipating challenges and recommending solutions, and gathering necessary material for the President’s engagements. As a critical member of the President’s Office team, you will fulfil other miscellaneous requests made by the President or Chief of Staff and Director of Corporate Affairs to advance IDRC’s organizational priorities.

You have:

  • A post-secondary education at the college or university level or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Post-diploma training in executive management (an asset).
  • Proficiency in English and French (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in providing administrative and operational support in an executive’s office.
  • An in-depth understanding of administrative and operational procedures.
  • Knowledge of and/or interest in the Centre’s mission and work relevant to International Development.

  • Qualified to establish, manage, and monitor relationships with diverse and experienced stakeholders.

  • Coordinating the daily activities of the President and prioritizing the incoming flow of work.
  • Organizing logistics for internal and external meetings and gathering necessary material from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, screening correspondence and analyzing information required for a response.
  • Joining an organization that values and models diversity, inclusion, and equity.
