The beauty and size of Trinity’s courts attract visitors from all over the world, but the College is also a thriving, modern community, which exists to give its members a rewarding, richly resourced, and intellectually inspiring place in which to pursue their education and research.
We are looking to recruit an Executive Assistant who will provide high level, confidential, professional, administrative and organisational support to our Senior Tutor, who has overall strategic responsibility for the College’s academic, educational and student welfare provision and policy alongside their departmental and other external commitments. The Senior Tutor is a Fellow of the College, and participates in all aspects of the College’s life, including being a member of the College Council, and multiple other committees.
The Executive Assistant will co-ordinate every aspect of the Senior Tutor’s workload from end to end, working independently and with the wider team, enabling the Senior Tutor to effectively deliver all aspects of their role. The position will also involve providing administrative support to the Deputy Senior Tutor.
Candidates will have strong written and verbal communication skills, highly developed organisational and time management capability, the ability to anticipate needs, prioritise, be adaptable, keep calm under pressure and prioritise a diverse and changing workload, handling matters confidentially and with tact and diplomacy. They must also be a positive relationship builder and team player, capable of working with a variety of stakeholders with discretion and determination. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel and Access), and databases, are essential together with experience with data-sharing and web editing tools (such as WordPress).
