To work with Member States to address priority health problems concerning newborns, infants, children and adolescents, to develop evidence-based strategies and guidelines for child and adolescent health in the Region.
Under the direct supervision of Medical Officer – Maternal Reproductive Health (MO-MRH) and broad guidance of the Director, UHC/Family Health (FGL), the incumbent will carry out the following duties:

- Manage data and information: collate and manage data and information received from network institutions on newborn care and birth defects. Receive and update surveillance data on Newborn health and Birth Defects. Compile, validate and assist in preparations of relevant information and reports of NBBD database. Managing users and adding new users and new network hospitals in the NBBD database. Creating data entry operator’s logins and provide them access to enter the forms in online NBBD database. Assist in preparation of charts, graphs, presentations and other graphics of NBBD database surveillance and programme monitoring data. Liaise with ICT unit to add stillbirth form and others new electronic forms according to the requirements.
- Extranet and Internet website: Create and manage links to the SharePoint portal and Listserv on both the extranet and the Internet website. Maintaining, updating and expanding the Child and Adolescent Health (CAH) and Maternal Reproduction Health (MRH) websites including the Regional and National statistics and Health Indicators database depicting health situation and trends. Assist in electronic archiving of the country health reports that serves as sources of data.
- Support the Gender, Equity and Human Rights (GER) unit in assimilating and managing data related to gender, equity and human rights in SEA countries through coordinating with the GER Focal points in SEAR countries on regular basis.
- Assist in updating the website for updated information, user-friendly access for the institutions and associations working closely with NUM.
- Provide support in the monitoring of the workplan, including timely information and background documents and highlighting areas require action; draft replies on general and administrative matter, draft presentations, ensure outgoing correspondence and report conform to WHO norms.
- Prepare contracts for consultants, Agreement for performance of work (APW), Technical Service Agreement (TSA), General External Services requests (GES).
- Coordinate administrative preparation for meetings, seminars, workshops, ensuring necessary documents and travel requests are sent to participants, obtain briefing and prepare background documents for meetings, seminars, workshops, and ensure complete documentation is provided to the unit staff attending the meeting.
- Perform any other related duties, as required.

- Computer skills with thorough knowledge of photoshop and familiarity with WHO images
