This beautiful property has a fantastic reputation, breathtaking views and is steeped in history and stories.Serving award-winning food where ingredients are all sourced locally in Devon, guests are spoilt for choice with 2 fine dining restaurants on site; a formal restaurant or a more relaxed seafood restaurant.The kitchen team here are working to a 2-3 Rosette standard and have a real passion and drive to serve the best, fine dining food around. Our client is therefore looking for a like-minded individual who is a people person and a team player, to help take the team and the hotel further!What’s involved?As the Executive Chef of this beautiful hotel, you will be passionate about fine dining food having worked to this standard previously and will want the team to deliver the best dining experience to your guests. Ideally, you will have worked in 2-3 Rosette establishments too.The Executive Chef will oversee the day-to-day running of the kitchen, leading a kitchen team of 18, and offering them guidance and instructions, as required. You will create fine dining menus showcasing the best produce that Devon has to offer and will order food from suppliers; building relationships along the way. You will also demonstrate new cooking techniques and dishes to the team.You will be responsible for staff recruitment, training, and management, as well as organising staff rota’s and keeping control of budgets; ensuring you keep a close eye on food and payroll costs. You will attend head of department meetings and work closely with the restaurant manager to ensure a smooth service for all.Fine dining experience is essential for this role.Short term accommodation can be arranged for someone relocating to the area but please note that as the hotel is in a very remote location with limited public transport, this role may be more suited to someone with their own transport.Sound like the role for you?
