Starting salary £43,421

Salary scale £43,421 to £51,575 (SCP 35-43)

PLUS potential £9,925 performance related pay

Executive Consultant Opportunity (Public Sector) – Manchester Area / UK wide

About You…

Are you experienced in the local government or public services sector? Do you have analytical or operational skills that can help shape ideas and service transformation in the public sector? Are you passionate about improving local public services? If so, you could be the person we are looking for!

Right now, we are recruiting an Executive Consultant to work with our in-house consultancy team (APSE Solutions) to deliver projects for our client local councils and support our field associates delivering consultancy across a broad range of frontline local public services.

The right candidate will:

– Have excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
– Be personable and able to listen to our public sector clients with empathy
– Have working knowledge of the public sector and ideally local government
– Ideally have operational knowledge of a frontline service such as waste and recycling,
parks and public realm, transport and fleet maintenance, bereavement services, facilities
management
– Ideally public policy knowledge in areas such as local authority commercial strategies,
service transformation or business development
– Willing to travel as required to meet and work with clients

The Executive Consultant will work within our APSE Solutions Team, which is our non-profit ethical consultancy and interim management service. APSE Solutions provide consultancy support working with our member local councils across the UK Local Government Sector, enabling them to make service improvements including cost savings.
