Executive Director - Tenders Global

Executive Director

The Atlantic Institute

tendersglobal.net

The Atlantic Institute was established in 2016, emanating from a
partnership between the Atlantic Philanthropies (established by
entrepreneur Charles F. Feeney) and the Rhodes Trust, at the
University of Oxford. The Atlantic Fellows community consists of
seven distinctive fellowship programs located in seven countries on
five continents with a connecting hub, in the form of the Atlantic
Institute. All seven Atlantic programs and the Institute are
committed to empowering catalytic communities of emerging leaders
to advance fairer, healthier and more inclusive societies working
at national, regional and global levels. Today the Atlantic Fellows
community comprises over 800 Fellows in 80 countries united by a
common purpose: equity.

Atlantic Fellowships are lifelong, with the journey for each
Fellow beginning in one of the seven programs geared toward
specific thematic areas. Hosted at academic and civil society
organizations our seven programs address themes of global brain
health; health and health equity; social and economic equity; and
racial equity. All programs and the Atlantic Institute work
together to build and sustain a collaborative multidisciplinary
community of Fellows working together across borders and
disciplines with an increased ability to navigate diversity of
perspective and opinion. Atlantic Fellows work collaboratively
within their program communities and across programs as members of
a global community. The Atlantic Institute plays a primary role as
a connector, promoting collaboration and shared approaches while
amplifying the influence and impact of the global community of
Fellows and programs. The Institute does this through providing
resources and opportunities to connect, learn and act together in
order to tackle inequity, including the organization of global
convenings, online platforms, engagement and learning, and
financial support.

We now seek to appoint a new Executive Director who will build
on the vision and values of our founder. The new Executive Director
will lead and implement a new strategy for the next phase of the
Institute as it explores self-sustaining community-led practices
and approaches. They will bring leadership of inspiration and
humility to a small team serving a complex global stakeholder
network, advancing the impact of our lifelong community of leaders
who connect, learn and collaborate across cultures and
perspectives. A global strategic thinker, a clear communicator and
an excellent listener, the next Executive Director will bring
authenticity to their personal commitment to justice and equity.
The successful candidate will evidence a commitment to leading
change resulting in a positive impact on the lives of those most
impacted by inequities and will share a deep commitment to the
shared values of the Atlantic Fellows community namely,
opportunity, equity, dignity, inclusion and a commitment to action.
In addition, the successful candidate will embody the values of the
Institute in relation to openness, care, creativity and radical
inclusion.

An executive search exercise is being undertaken by Perrett

warmly welcoming applications from talented people of diverse
backgrounds without regard to age, disability, gender, gender
identity, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, pregnancy or
maternity, parental status, marital or civil partner status, race,
