The Council Board is seeking candidates who have experience in watershed restoration, a work or volunteer history of collaborative efforts to develop and protect fish and wildlife habitat and demonstrated skills in grant and other fund acquisition.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Identifying and prioritizing watershed restoration opportunities with state, federal and non-profit conservation partners
- Seeking funding for restoration projects
- Contracting for and overseeing project completion
Other responsibilities:
- Educational outreach to Council members
- Coordinating volunteer restoration activities
- Facilitating monthly meetings of the Council Board and its members.
- Overseeing an annual budget between $500,000 and $800,000 a year depending on the number of restoration projects funded
- Supervision of one full-time staff member and a part-time contractor.
Applicant must be able to participate in field work including overseeing construction projects, in-stream assistance on habitat restoration, and traversing rugged terrain.
