About the Organization | Headquartered at Dalhousie University, the DeepSense innovation environment enables ocean related companies to connect with data and ocean scientists to leverage Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in developing commercially useful predictive models, analytical prototypes, and applications for use in the ocean economy. DeepSense is supported with funding from industry partners, the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), the Ocean Frontier Institute (OFI), The Province of Nova Scotia, the Centre for Ocean Ventures and Entrepreneurship (COVE) and Dalhousie University. DeepSense provides ocean companies and researchers access to data science and ocean experts, including working with leaders in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and applied ocean research. Job Summary | Reporting to the Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, the Executive Director will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of DeepSense, including relationship management with key stakeholders, business development and implementation of policies to realize the mission of DeepSense. In addition, the Executive Director will be responsible for financial management and operations as well as manage a team of staff members. |
