Executive Director, Academic Administration – (2400008T) The Office of the Provost has an opportunity for an Executive Director, Academic Administration. Through collaboration with various campus leaders, the Executive Director oversees the faculty appointment and promotions process for the seven graduate and professional schools at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Additionally, in collaboration with the schools, oversees requests for new academic programs and modifications for existing programs. Oversees periodic program reviews, and tracks milestones for accreditation and review. PRIMARY DUTIES
Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree preferred. Experience: Eight (8) years of administration or coordination of academic program or unit (faculty, staff, or student relations) experience. Supervisory Experience: Five (5) years in management/leadership/supervisory roles. Other: Clery act designated job as campus security authorities (CSA) member and will comply with Clery Act requirements. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES Thorough knowledge of position requirements. Thorough knowledge of all applicable requirements, regulations, and laws. Skill in effective use of applicable technology/systems. Ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written thoughts, ideas, and facts. Ability to support a mission and strategic vision. Instructional, training, and teambuilding skills to strengthen and cultivate relationships. Skill in consultation and change management. Ability to demonstrate, understand, apply, and adhere to the UMB Core Values of Respect and Integrity, Well-being and Sustainability, Equity and Justice, and Innovation and Discovery.
