We are thrilled to be recruiting a new Executive Director / Co-CEO for Crossroad Arts. We are seeking a dynamic and engaged leader to work closely with our Artistic Director / Co-CEO, Autumn Skuthorpe on the creative and cultural vision and mission at Crossroad Arts. Our artists are our community, and together we create exciting and surprising public works that profile and promote local stories.

About Crossroad Arts

Through leading inclusive arts experiences, we will co-create new narratives with artists with disability that aim to change perceptions and shape the sector of the future. 

Artistic Development: 
Crossroad Arts is passionate about creating opportunities for people with disabilities who are serious about developing their skills in contemporary performance.

We offer artistic development programs that are designed to ensure people grow as artists by providing rigorous, skills-based training in collaboration with professional artists.

Community Development: Community is our driving force.
Community is our driving force. Everything we do as a company is underpinned by the belief that creating artistic works that challenge assumptions through inclusive collaboration ultimately builds stronger communities.

Outreach: Our Outreach Program is committed to working with regional and remote communities, giving them access to the arts.

We achieve this through collaboration with rural and remote Queensland communities.

Our new Executive Director / Co-CEO will be a:

  • Great communicator who loves engaging with artists, stakeholders and community members alike;
  • Thoughtful and generous leader who enjoys supporting staff to realise their potential and achieve their best in a safe and supportive environment and a;
  • Strong advocate for access, equity and inclusion, with a focus on disability.

We are seeking a leader with disability or who is d/Deaf – this is important to us and to our artists.

We are open to first time CEOs and leaders who have experience in other sectors. If you have not lived in regional Queensland before, don’t worry – ask us about it and come to visit through the interview process.
