This Executive Director role is a highly esteemed leadership position, and only shortlisted candidates will be shortlisted.Reporting to the board members, this role is responsible to strengthen key partnerships, maximising organisational impact and promoting the brand in Indonesia. Other responsibilities include:

• Managing multiple stakeholders in order to drive the chamber’s mission.
• Introducing strategic initiatives that will support the member’s interests and sustainable growth.
• Promoting fair market access and representing member’s business objectives.
• Cultivating and maintaining relationships with industry stakeholders, governmental bodies, other trade associations in order to foster impactful alliances.
• Providing support for member businesses, including advocacy, networking and educational resources.
• Building strategic partnerships between Indonesians and the respective governments.
• Overseeing and organising events in order to increase the visibility of the chamber of commerce.
• Engaging, and maintaining excellent relationship with leaders, boards, and committees.
• Leading and securing sustainable funding through strategic initiatives.

Rare opportunity|Distinguished leadership roleThis role wil be based in Jakarta, and ideally, the candidate has familiarity with the Indonesian landscape, and close ties with the respective country. Other qualifications include:

• At least 15 years of working experience, with proven senior leadership experience.
• Top university degree, ideally from international universities. Master / MBA or PHD is welcome to apply.
• Industry preference: other trade organisations, chamber, or professional services.
• Prior working experience in government relations, or roles that are exposed to governments.
• Excellent stakeholders management, and ability to navigate complex stakeholders relationships.
• Influencing, negotiation and high-level decision making.
• Excellent communication skills in English, and the ability to be represent the chamber through multiple events (high-level forums, public speaking events).

One of our key partners is looking to bring on board a seasoned Executive Director to lead the chamber of commerce. This unique role requires an individual who is able to navigate government relations, and working closely with the relevant embassy in Jakarta.Besides being part of the prestigious chamber, you will have the opportunity to create a legacy on both Indonesia and the relevant country.

£50460 per year
