1. Act as the block lead, overseeing project implementation in the assigned blocks, ensuring alignment with the overall project objectives, providing on-site technical support to frontline workers. Identify the design and quality related issues, discuss them with the Reporting Officer, and propose field-level solutions.
2. Work closely with the District Project Officer and ensure regular planning and execution of the project activities in the assigned block aligned with the district plan.
3. Liaise and collaborate with government department and local authorities viz Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), Department of Women and Child Development (DWCD) and Department of Health and Family Welfare (DH&FW) or/and Mid-Day-Meal (MDM)- Department of Education to ensure smooth implementation of project activities.
4. Conduct training programs on nutrition for frontline workers (Anganwadi workers, school teachers, self-help groups etc.), government officials, and project staff in the assigned blocks.
5. Conduct behavior change campaigns (BCC), village health sanitation nutrition day (VHSND) sessions and community mobilization activities to promote community based management of malnutrition and food fortification in the assigned blocks.
6. Provide field-level support for assessments, surveys, and collaborate with the Monitoring and Evaluation team to gather and analyse data related to the nutrition outcomes in the assigned blocks.
7. Prepare and timely submit high-quality reports on nutrition-related activities and outcomes etc.
8. Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Reporting Officer, in line with project demands.
09 Responsible for overall program operations and management within the assigned block.
10 Perform other duties as and when required from time to time.

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Food and Nutrition, Home Science (Foods and Human Nutrition), Public Health, Social Work, Social Science, Anthropology or any related field.
• 1-4 years of relevant experience, preferably in nutrition / public health program implementation with a reputed organization.
• Prior working experience with ICDS/School programs and communities preferably CMAM/WASH or nutritional programs
• Prior experience of working with the government departments (ICDS, DWCD, Health and Nutrition/or MDM) will be preferred.
• Prior working experience in CMAM program or in nutrition programs, particularly in the treatment and prevention of SAM and MAM children or/and strong knowledge of food fortification strategies and techniques will be preferred.
