The Penguin Foundation raises funds to protect Phillip Island’s native wildlife and enhance the natural environment through research, conservation and education programs. They are committed to the protection of flora, fauna and wildlife, including little penguins, koalas, Eastern barred bandicoots, Australian fur seals, short-tailed shearwaters and hooded plovers.

Working collaboratively with the Foundation Board and the Phillip Island Nature Parks team, the Executive Officer will be responsible for the management and growth of the Penguin Foundation.
You will develop and implement the strategic plan, which will focus on sustainable growth through multi-channel fundraising including Major Donors, Corporate Partnerships, Philanthropic Trusts and Foundations, Community Engagement and Campaigns. This strategic and hands-on leadership role will encompass business planning, board reporting, budgets, partnership management, fundraising activities and actively working with the Phillip Island Nature Parks Marketing and Communications, and Conservation teams to identify opportunities and promote growth.
About You
- Proven experience in strategic leadership and fundraising within the For Purpose sector
- Ability to think strategically and creatively, and translate vision into actionable plans
- Strong networking and business development skills with a track record of securing donations, corporate sponsorships and grants
- Excellent written communication skills to develop funding proposals, impact reports and compelling cases for support
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement
- Genuine interest and commitment to conservation and environmental sustainability
