About the role
The Exercise Physiologist (EP) is responsible for providing quality community-based outpatient Exercise Physiology services to individuals and groups within our community.
The Exercise Physiologist works within a multidisciplinary team and liaises closely with our medical team to provide holistic, client centred and coordinated healthcare, with a focus on educating and empowering clients to adopt self-management strategies to improve and maintain their health.

Your duties include:
- Provide high quality Exercise Physiology services to clients and groups
- Contribute to and participate in innovative health education and promotion programs
- Ensure safety and maintenance of exercise equipment and supplies
- Maintain and complete client files and statistical/program records
- Advocacy and promotion for the role of the exercise physiologist within community health

Our ideal candidate:
- Eligible for accreditation as an Exercise Physiologist with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA)
- Demonstrated understanding and commitment to the principles of community health
- Commitment to professional development and quality improvement
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
All appointments are made subject to a satisfactory Police Check, a Working with Children Check (WWCC), complete a Statutory Declaration, evidence of legal rights to work in Australia, and evidence of vaccination against COVID-19 (3 doses). Additionally, some roles will also require current AHPRA registration and/or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
Roles that are determined to be Risk Category A or B [staff that have direct and/or indirect contact with body substances and are at higher risk of occupational exposure to infections] will be required to provide evidence of immunisation assessment including Influenza prior to commencement [A] or within 12 weeks of commencement [B]. This is in accordance with the Victorian Minister of Health Mandatory Vaccination Orders for COVID-19 and the legislated requirement for influenza vaccination.
