We are now looking for three Exmoor Moorland Bird Survey Officers to join our team on a
full-time basis for a fixed term contract from 2nd April 2024 to 16th July 2024. The role
requires early morning starts (5am), finishing earlier in the day and may involve some weekend
working.

The Role
As an Exmoor Moorland Bird Survey Officer, you will carry out survey work for the 2024 Exmoor
Moorland Breeding Bird Survey and associated habitat recording.
Conducting the survey according to the agreed methodology, you will walk routes within 1km
squares on open moorland to record the range of bird species found and complete forms in the
field.
Ensuring all the survey requirements are achieved, you will obtain any necessary access
permissions and adhere to any access restrictions.
