Expert Grants, Contracts & Communications*
in Beirut
The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with an initial contract duration of one year. There are very good prospects for an extension. Employment location will be Beirut, Lebanon.
As Technical Expert for Grants, Contracts and Communications, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with donor requirements and regulations, external and internal project-related communications and WHH standards. You will be responsible for the supervision and orientation of implementing partner organizations’ contractual obligations, communication with the donor, and project related public relations.
Your responsibilities
- Support the project management in partner assessments, projects and partners monitoring, project filings, donor reporting
- Develop SOPs and follow up on partner agreements
- Support in compliance with legal environment and internal rules and regulations
- Ensure partner compliance with WHH and donor standards and policies
- Ensure that partners meet the donor requirements regarding the reporting and documentation and organize support where needed
- Liaise and coordinate with German donor organizations (GIZ, KfW, UN Orgs that get financed from BMZ, …)
- Identify lessons learned from projects and ensure best practices are shared with WHH Lebanon
Your profile
- A university or college degree in a relevant field
- 2-3 years professional experience colaborating with local implementing partner organizations
- Previous knowledge of the country and/or presence in Lebanon is an asset
- Knowledge of WHH standards and policies is an advantage
- Ability to understand, learn and communicate German donor rules and regulations (GIZ, BMZ, etc.)
- Readiness to receive necessary vacinations for working in Welthungerhilfe’s programme countries
- Excellent spoken and written English and German language skills
