External Evaluator for Interim Project Evaluation (Service contract)

The European Institute of Peace seeks expressions of interest from qualified individual evaluators, teams of evaluators or consulting firms to conduct an interim evaluation of a set of activities implemented as part of the Institute’s Conflict Justice and Reconciliation programme. 

The initiative, funded by the Government of The Netherlands, spans three years and entails an approximate budget of €5 million, supporting initiatives in conflict-affected countries, such as Syria and Yemen. Focusing on the role of justice, rights, and reconciliation in peacemaking, the programme seeks to identify the key rights-based issues that require immediate attention in conflict contexts and the ways in which they can be addressed to enhance the prospects of peace.

The interim evaluation will primarily rely on project documentation and interviews with key stakeholders, with a specific emphasis on fostering learning. It will cover 30 months of activities primarily in relation to Syria, Yemen, Iraq, and Ethiopia.
