Facilitators

1. Background

Welthungerhilfe (hereafter: WHH) is a German private, non-profit- making, politically independent and non-denominational relief organization, which supports people living in deprivation and poverty, irrespective of the color of their skin, their religious beliefs, or their worldview. WHH is working in the fields of development cooperation and humanitarian aid, relief aid, rehabilitation, and reconstruction.

WHH implements the project- IRQ-1082“Supporting a Resilient Economic Recovery by Strengthening SMEs and Agriculture in Sinjar District, Ninewa Governorate.”, in the framework of the wider Welthungerhilfe programme. The purpose of the project is to promote employment creation and access to income and create self-reliance among returnees, IDPS, and host.

2. Description of Responsibilities of facilitators

The facilitators are expected to carry out the following tasks and generate the below deliverable in accordance with the relevant guidelines provided by the management of WHH and the close collaboration with WHH staff:

• Participate in one-day facilitators training.
• Conduct assessments, distribution, registrations, and data entry in the assigned Sinajr district and its sub-districts including Sinuni, Qayrawan, Qahtania and Sinjar center.
• Conduct baseline assessment in Sinjar remotely.
• Report daily issues and challenges to the project officers.
• handover all literature and materials used in the survey to the supervisor.
• Any other related tasks for assessments / distribution/ survey.
• Follow confidentiality and security procedures to ensure respondent privacy is protected.
• Report to the supervisor before and after the day’s work for further direction.
• Facilitators may be asked to carry out other duties requested by the supervisor.

• High school Diploma or bachelor’s degree or relevant educational background.
• Previous experience with an NGO and/or institution in the relevant field of work is an advantage.
• Fluency in Arabic, good in English.
• Working knowledge in Microsoft Excel
• Open minded, and ability to work in multi-cultural environment.
• Committed, honest, friendly, and eager to learn.
• Should be from Sinjar sub-district.
• Applicants should mention in their CVs the current address (governorate, district, subdistrict, complex)

  2. Payments

Payment will be disbursed in Iraqi Dinars (IQD) at the rate of 50,000 IQD for each full working day. Payment will be made upon submission of an invoice along with a completed attendance sheet at the end of each month. Additionally, a monthly transportation allowance of 10,000 IQD per working day is included in the payment, but this cost will be waived if WHH provides transportation services.
