We are looking for an Faculty Quality Support Manager to join our Academic Quality Services team. This team works within our Chief Student Officer Directorate to provide a central focus for the development, review, and oversight of the University’s quality assurance frameworks.

The successful candidate will provide expert advice, support, and guidance to colleagues regarding quality assurance and regulatory issues, ensuring that at as a university we remain compliant with all applicable standards whilst retaining our focus on student experience.

The role

In this position, the post holder will be responsible for the development, management, and implementation of quality assurance policies and procedures, playing a key role in their ongoing review to make sure they remain fit for purpose and in line with sector recognised best practice and regulatory requirements. You’ll manage programme validations and periodic enhancement events including shared responsibility with Faculties for liaison with Professional, Statutory and Regulatory Bodies (PSRBs) in relation to accreditation and re-accreditation activity.

You’ll be a champion for quality assurance, helping to develop training and resources for the benefit of colleagues, and provide guidance regarding matters such as validations, periodic reviews, modifications, engagement with PSRBs, accreditations, academic partnerships, external examining, and other regulatory matters.   

About you 

We’re looking for an expert in quality assurance, with sound knowledge of quality assurance policies and processes within a higher education context and experience of policy development and implementation. Specifically, you’ll have experience managing programme validation and periodic enhancement processes within higher education. Working on your own initiative, you will be able to draw on your knowledge to ensure that University regulations and policies meet internal and external requirements, minimising risk.

Continuous improvement is a key element of this post so we’re looking for someone able to proactively identify improvements and work flexibly to support the wider team. You’ll work autonomously with excellent organisation and planning skills to meet deadlines and work within the University’s academic and quality assurance framework.
