Chemonics seeks a candidate to support a Last Mile TPA activity under Task Order 3, Family Planning and Reproductive Health**.** The Global Health Supply Chain Program – Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) project is a high visibility and fast-paced project that delivers millions of dollars of essential health commodities around the world and works with countries and global leadership organizations to support development of high-performing, sustainable solutions for health supply chain needs. The project is the primary vehicle through which USAID procures health commodities for countries receiving U.S. government foreign assistance. This assignment can be performed remotely and will likely require travel to two or three countries in Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading the development of a questionnaire with input from relevant stakeholders (internal and external). The questionnaire will gauge what factors drive and enable government funded outsourcing and what challenges may limit outsourcing.
- Engaging with Ministry of Health, Central Medical Stores, 3PL providers, and other stakeholders to collect information on government outsourcing in select countries.
- Drafting one comprehensive report and associated PowerPoint, including methodology, analysis, findings, and recommendations from select countries.
- Incorporating feedback from GHSC- PSM, USAID/W, and the Mission in the draft report.
- Finalizing the report and PowerPoint.
Qualifications:
- Advanced experience with USAID-funded project management and operations.
- Experience working in senior technical roles with donor-funded project offices, engaging with senior managers from ministries of health, central medical stores (CMS), local and international implementing partners.
- Experience working in senior technical roles with a focus on outsourcing and private sector engagement.
- Excellent English writing and communications skills; ability to synthesize qualitative data and findings into a cohesive report.
- Willing to travel to countries selected for this assignment for up to two weeks.
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity.
