Your role:
As a practitioner in our family services program, you will need to actively engage (including outreach visits) children, young people and families, including those who may be resistant, by being flexible, responsive, strengths-focused and creative and provide interventions that improve the outcomes of the family, particularly the safety and wellbeing of children and young people
The skills you will use day to day:
- A good understanding of the social context of child abuse and neglect and experience in applying relevant theoretical approaches to deliver outcomes.
- Conduct risk and needs assessments using relevant and contemporary frameworks, theory, and practice models.
- Case recording, data collection, registration standards and other requirements
- Partner with the family and the care team to develop and review action plans aimed at improving outcomes.
- Active engagement of vulnerable children, youth and families and delivering a range of interventions to improve their outcomes
- Skills in case management, including developing community linkages

- You get a salary starting at around $94,000 (soon to increase) plus super.
- Salary packaging is available up to $15,900 plus an entertainment card.
- SCHCADS award level 5.
- Negotiable through the increments dependent upon experience.
- Part time and full time opportunities available.
