- Full time, fixed term: end date 31st December 2024, based in Bendigo
Your role:
The role involves the provision of an in-home family casework service, working in partnership with families with the aim of strengthening parenting capacity and family resilience. The work involves taking steps to reduce risks to children’s safety and wellbeing and that of other family members, as well as working with families to empower them to enhance their parenting capacity and family functioning and therefore to improve outcomes for children.
The skills you will use day to day:
- A good understanding of the social context of child abuse and neglect and experience in applying relevant theoretical approaches to deliver outcomes.
- Conduct risk and needs assessments using relevant and contemporary frameworks, theory and practice models.
- Case recording, data collection, registration standards and other requirements.
- Partner with the family and the care team to develop and review action plans aimed at improving outcomes.
- Active engagement of vulnerable children, youth and families and delivering a range of interventions to improve their outcomes.
- Skills in case management, including developing community linkages.

- You get a salary starting at around $94,000 plus super at full time.

- Salary packaging is available up to $15,900 plus an entertainment card.
- SCHCADS award level 5.
