As part of our Intensive Bail Initiative Team, you will be helping to maximise their impact on the lives of vulnerable families. In this full-time, max term role (through to the 30th of June 2025), you’ll work as a part of our Intensive Bail Initiative team in Mount Isa to help us create lasting change for children everywhere. The Family Support Specialist plays an important role in delivering on our vision of a better world for children. You will work closely alongside external stakeholders to increase and prioritise the safety and wellbeing of children. You’ll be contributing to our commitment to children in Australia, the Pacific and around the world.

 

You will make a difference by:

  • Providing holistic case management, delivering support to vulnerable and disadvantaged clients and supporting relationships for favourable client outcomes
  • Ensuring the voices of children and young people are heard.
  • Identifying strengths, establishing goals for the program, and reviewing client progress towards these goals
  • Promoting skills which increase health, safety and development.

Bringing your best every day, means:

  • Demonstrated experience in case management and knowledge of relevant legislation.
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and families.
  • Strong report writing, analytical and evaluation skills, including data collation and analysis.
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or significant experience working in a similar service.
